Immunization Requirements for OMS EMT Program
Students enrolled in the OMS EMT Program must provide immunization records for the following on the first class session:
- Evidence of *Two (2) TB tests: One within the last 2 years, and a more recent one within the last 3 months.
- Mandatory vaccinations:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Rubella (German Measles)
- Tetanus (within 10 years)
- Hepatitis B
- Recommended: Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (when vaccination unavailable or declined)
Acceptable proof of immunization include medical records or positive serology results for antibodies of above list.
Our new contract with Kaiser wants every ridealong to have proof of 2 (TWO) TB tests.
Two (2) TB tests: One within the last 2 years, and a more recent one within the last 3 months.
So if you have never gotten test before, you will need to get 2 tests completed. Even if they are a week off from one another. This is so they fall within the requirement of Kaiser.
