OMS EMT-B Training Program
OnSite Medical Service, Inc has assembled an outstanding faculty of teaching staff for this N.R.E.M.T. certification course! The EMT-B program at OMS has incorporated a collegiate teaching style while emphasizing the importance of hands-on training – an integral part of Emergency Medical Care! Students can expect instruction from professionals who specialize in their particular areas – Professors of Physiology, Physicians in Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Physicians, Paramedics, Physicians in Obstetrics as well as Professional Educators with years of Experience in Anatomy and Physiology! Each student will receive his or her own Littmann Stethoscope, Blood Pressure Cuff, Emergency Care 13th Edition Text book with MyBradyLab online access, and OMS EMT Student Uniform T-Shirt. Students will also have access to our new teaching facility, gurneys, and over 24 hours of additional instruction.
OMS offers three 16-wk programs and two 11wk-training programs annually. Participants in each program can expect one 4-hour lecture per week (6p-10p) in the 16 week course OR two 4-hour lectures per week (6p-10p) in the 8-wk program. Additional lab days are mandatory on most Saturday/Sundays throughout the course (9a-6p). Students may miss 1 lecture and 1 laboratory – with prior written approval from the Primary Instructor and Course Coordinator. Both the 16 week and 8 week Course represent a commitment to 160 hours of didactics, plus 24 hours of clinical experience at any one of our clinical rotations (includes clinical rotations with American Medical Response (AMR), NorCal ambulance, and/or Kaiser Permanente Emergency Department). All students must have a valid Healthcare Provider CPR card in-hand prior to course commencement.

Cost: 16-week course ($1300), 11-week course ($1400)
Registration is available online with one half of the total course cost due, final payment for remaining balance is due midway through the course!
OMS EMT-B students are required to attend lectures, labs, and clinical rotations in uniform. OMS provides each student with an OMS EMT Student T-shirt and equipment. The remaining components of the uniform include dark work-pants, protective footwear, and a digital or chronograph watch, which if purchased through an OMS-suggested provider, typically will not exceed $150.00.
Students will be required to pass a background check prior to participation in the Clinical Experience portion of the program at the end of the 16- and 11-week courses. ($19.95).
More details and information on these items will be provided during orientation on the 1st night of class.Registered Students must provide copies of the following items at orientation (first day of class): 1. Copy of Valid Drivers Licence or Photo ID (confirmation of 18+ years of age) 2. Copy of current CPR Healthcare Provider (HCP/CPR) card or CPR training equivalent to the American Heart Association’s Guidelines 2015 or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care at the Healthcare Provider (BLS) level, OR proof of class registration to be completed within two weeks. 3. Students must provide a copy of high school diploma/GED or first page of college transcripts (unofficial transcripts accepted). 4. Proof of Immunization
