OMS Causes

OnSite Medical Service, Inc. and its staff are dedicated to serving not only our own community, but those around the world. We are currently looking to partner with Non-Profit organizations providing medical and educational services to underserved communities.  We believe in the power of education and the necessity of accessible healthcare – OMS is committed to providing quality education and medical care in our own community as well as those in communities throughout the world.

Every month, OMS will donate AND match $1 from every CPR, First Aid, and EMT Course registration to one of our chosen philanthropic organizations.  OMS is currently partnered with Mira Scholars Foundation (www.mirascholars.org) and Rock Medicine (www.rockmed.org).

OMS June 2012 Cause: Rock Medicine -In Memory of Wes Fifield

“Health Care is a Right, Not a Privilege.”®

This statement is what drives the members of Rock Medicine. A non-judgmental, unbiased approach to patients and a deep knowledge of medicine is what makes this organization so special. It takes a certain kind of person to volunteer with Rock Med. It takes a person who is willing to deal with vomit and belligerent patients, yet keeping a sense of humor and a smile the entire time (and come back again and again for more!).

The philosophy of Rock Med and its participants is simple:  “Take care of the individual right now and return him to his friends or his family and do away with the necessity of either hospitalizing him or getting him involved with the law.”
George R. “Skip” Gay, M.D., Founder & Former Director
